Winter Display - C.C.Simpson
Charles Cheney Simpson - Valued resident of Queenscliffe. Contributions made to the township include chemist, diarist, photographer and Mayor - A "Worthy Citizen" indeed.
He set up his chemist shop (now Pardeys) opposite the Museum in 1862. His dispensing book can be viewed in our display along with a copy of his ever informative diary. A stained glass window in the church of St George the Martyr is a fitting honour to the memory of "the lay bishop of Queenscliffe".
